In the introductory part of this final thesis, the concept of bulk cargo and the type of bulk carriers were clarified. The dimensions of these vessels for the transport of bulk cargo are also shown in the form of tables. The technical description of the shaft line briefly lists all of its parts, their way of production and their role. Described are: the screwshaft, propeller, stern tube, seals and bearings. Detailed description of the shaft line assembly process on the ship is described, namely: production, transport and processing of the stern tube mold, preparation of the ship's propeller and its shaft, centering and installation of the of the stern tube mould into the stern post, positioning of the stern post stubble, sighting of the shaft line, centering of the stern tube bearings, foundation of the stern tube bearings with epoxy resin, boring of the stern tube and bearing insertion, screwshaft and propeller installation, intermediate shaft installation, installation and centering of the intermediate shaft radial bearing and lastly the fixation of the screwshaft. At the end of the thesis, the calculation of the shaft line was performed, where the dimension values were calculated, by means of which the assembly drawing of the shaft line was made, which is attached to the inset of the final thesis.
