Abstract
3D k-ɛ turbulentni model strujanja fluida je pokazao da dobro opisuje strujanje vode u pravokutnim zakrivljenim kanalima. Podudaranje rezultata numeričkih simulacija i eksperimentalnih rezultata iz članaka [1], [2] i [3] su vrlo dobra. Provedene su numeričke simulacije na različitim veličinama mreže. Pokazalo se da grublje mreže daju dobre rezultate u usporedbi sa rezultatima finijih mreža. Dvofazni pristup daje približno točne rezultate i omogućava uvid u slobodnu površinu međutim zahtjeva nekoliko puta veću mrežu i višestruko duže vrijeme računanja. 2D simulacija daje rezultate dobrog reda veličine ali ne omogućava točan izračun brzina duž visine kanala.
Abstract (english)
The 3D k-ɛ turbulent fluid flow model showed that it describes well the water flow in rectangular curved channels. The results of numerical simulations and experimental results in [1], [2] and [3] are very good. Numerical simulations were performed on different mesh sizes. Finer mesh have been shown to perform well compared to coarser mesh. The two-phase approach gives roughly accurate results and provides insight into the free surface, however, requiring several times the size of the network and multiple times of computation. 2D simulation results in good order of magnitude but does not allow accurate calculation of velocity along the channel height.
