Abstract
Motori s unutarnjim izgaranjem su toplinski strojevi koji omogućuju pretvorbu toplinske energije goriva sadržanu u kemijskim vezama goriva u mehanički rad. Postoje različite izvedbe i konstrukcije motora s unutarnjim izgaranjem, pa tako razlikujemo klipne motore i rotacijske motore s unutarnjim izgaranjem. Klipni motori uglavnom prevladavaju u automobilskoj industriji za razliku od rotacijskih motora. Rotacijski motor poznati kao i Wankel motor prema njemačkom inženjeru F. Wankelu najprepoznatiji je po japanskom proizvođaču automobila Mazde. Mazda je jedna od prvih automobilskih industrija koja je počela razvijati i ugrađivati rotacijske motore u svoje automobile. U ovom radu opisan je princip rada Wankel motora kao i njegovi sastavni dijelovi. Rad obuhvaća termodinamički proračun Mazdina rotacijskog motora Renesis 1,3l, koji se ugrađivao u Mazdin model RX8. Napravljena je i usporedba Renesis motora sa BMW-ovim motorom M54B25, te su navedene prednosti i nedostaci rotacijskih motora u odnosu na klipne motore.
Abstract (english)
nternal combustion engines are heat engines that allow conversion of heat energy contained in the chemical bonds of the fuel, to mechanical work. There are different types of execution and construction of internal combustion engines which contain piston engines and rotary internal combustion engines. Piston engines generally dominate the automotive industry as opposed to rotary motors. Rotary engine known as Wankel engine, named by a German engineer F. Wankel is the most recognized by being used in Japanese car Mazda. Mazda is one of the first automotive industries to began development and incorporation of rotary engines into their cars. This paper describes the principle of Wankel engine as well as its constituent parts. It includes the thermodynamic calculation of Mazda rotary engine Renesis 1,3l which was incorporated into the Mazda RX8 model. There is also a comparison of the Renesis engine with BMW M54B25 engine. Advantages and disadvantages of rotary motors are listed as well compared to the piston engines.
