In this paper I went through the technical process of the production of shaft according to a given plan in the amount of 7500 pieces a year. The selection of tools and equipment was influenced by a possibility of using them to make other similar parts. Throughout this paper I went through all the neccessary features of a technical process starting with a techno-economic analysis, then setting up the concept of a technical process and its elaboration and finally the calculation of manufacturing and economical speed of cutting. For the input material a bar was selected in relation to a product's annual production size and the critical amount of production. The process begins by cutting the bar, processing the edges, turning, milling and finally, drilling. For each of the steps in the aforementioned operations it was neccessary to calculate the parameters: the depth of the cut, the feed, the speed of the cutting, the speed of the spin and time of making. Then the speed of manufacturing and economical speed of cutting have to be calculated for rough and fine process. I end my paper with compiling of the technical documentation.
