Abstract
Mnogi brodovlasnici ubrzo će biti suočeni sa donošenjem odluke o prelasku na LNG kao pogonsko gorivo ili nastavku korištenja HFO uz instalaciju ‘Scrubber’ tehnologije kako bi se zadovoljile zakonske regulative o smanjenju emisija SOx. IMO (International Maritime Organization) je zakonskim propisima odredila da se do 2020. godine udio sumpora u gorivu mora smanjiti sa dosadašnjih maksimalnih 3,5% na 0,5% unutar područja kontrole ‘ECA’ (Emissions control area). Jedno od rješenja je... More instalacija ‘Scrubber’ tehnologije koja uklanja do 98% SOx u ispušnim plinovima. Druga opcija je zamjena HFO kao pogonskog goriva LNG gorivom, te na taj način potpuno eliminirati udio SOx u ispušnim plinovima. Zadatak ovog rada je na znanstveni način prikazati binarnu analizu kako bi se iz točke gledišta brodovlasnika mogla odabrati najprikladnija opcija. Kriteriji za ovu analizu odabrani su tako da zadovoljavaju IMO zakonske odredbe, razmatraju ekonomsku stranu prijelaza na nove tehnologije, uzimaju u obzir nove troškove plovidbe kod korištenja broda na duži vremenski period. Brodovlasnici trebaju odabrati opciju koja udovoljava propisima zaštite okoliša, ekonomski je isplativa i zadržava ih konkurentnima u pomorskom transportu. Less
Abstract (english)
Many vessel owners will shortly be faced with making imminent decisions as to whether to convert to LNG fuel or to continue using HFO fuel with scrubber technology in order to meet new regulations of lower SOx emissions. The IMO (International Maritime Organization) has legislated that by the year 2020 the part of sulphur in fuel is to be reduced from the present 3.5% to 0.5% in the ECA - Emissions control area. The second solution is to replace HFO with LNG fuel which practically fully eliminates SOx gas emissions. The aim of this paper is to perform a scientific binary analysis from the viewpoint of a shipowner to determine which option is best. The criteria for the analysis considers both meeting IMO legislature as well as the economic impacts in converting to new technologies as well as the costs of vessel operation in the long term.
