Abstract
Cilj diplomskog rada bio je prenamijeniti postojeći sustav preciznog pozicioniranja u linearni sustav za mjerenje trenja, odnosno osmisliti i konstruirati rješenja za prihvat vrška za mjerenje trenja kao i način određivanja i mjerenja normalne sile i sile trenja. Za regulaciju pomaka sustava koristio se PID regulator a kao ulazni referentni signal korišten je trokutasti profil, pritom za povratnu vezu koristeći linearni inkrementalni enkoder. Takav sustav se upravlja pomoću National Instruments hardvera i LabVIEW softvera. Ovakav projekt je iziskivao istraživanje stanja tehnike i komercijalnih rješenja, a potom optimizaciju idejnog koncepta uzimajući u obzir postojeću formu sustava i njegovo nadograđivanje potrebnim elementima. Nadalje, svi novi dijelovi su prvo konstruirani u CAD sučelju, a potom izrađeni metodom 3D tiskanja iz visokorazlučivih STL datoteka. Finaliziranjem projekta dobiven je funkcionalan prototip sustava za mjerenje trenja s linearnim pomakom, a time je omogućena eksperimentalna faza u kojoj su se mogli istraživati koeficijenti trenja različitih materijala pri različitim karakteristikama profila gibanja.
Abstract (english)
The goal of this thesis was to modify an already existing system for ultra-high precision positioning into a linear friction measuring system, i.e., to design and implement the solutions for supporting the contact tip for measuring friction as well as for detecting and measuring normal and friction forces. A PID controller was used to obtain closed-loop control with a triangle signal used as the reference input, while a linear incremental encoder is employed as a feedback sensor. The system is controlled via National Instruments hardware and LabVIEW software. Detailed research on state-of-the-art and commercially available solutions is followed by the optimization of the concept of the prototype of the tribometer. The components of the device were designed in CAD software and 3D printed from high-resolution STL files. Finalizing the project, a prototype of the system for measuring friction with linear movement was achieved, thus enabling the experimental phase in which measuring the friction coefficient of various materials under different movement characteristics was possible.
