Abstract
Mnogi teški metali nalaze se prirodno u Zemljinoj kori i u malim količinama potrebni su svim živim bićima za normalne biološke procese. Svi oni u prekomjernim koncentracijama imaju negativan utecaj na ljudsko zdravlje. Teški metali poput bakra, cinka, nikla i žive najčešće se pojavljuju u prekomjernim koncentracijama, a dolaze iz antropogenog izvora. Mnogi od tih izvora napravili su značajne tranformacije u vodenom i morskom okruženju. Razvoj ljudske civilizacije susreće se s ozbiljnim... More problemima onečišćenja pitke vode teškim metalima. Teški metali ulaze u okoliš te se u njemu akumuliraju. Oni nisu lako razgradivi u prirodi, već se prenose hranidbenim lancima. Unos hrane onečišćene teškim metalima dovodi do oštećenja bubrega, alergijskih reakcija, problema s dišnim i gastrointestinalnim sustavom. Razvijene su mnoge metode za smanjivanje koncentracije teških metala. One mogu biti prirodne kao što su fitoremedijacija, fitoekstrakcija, fitostabilizacija i fitofiltracija, ali i one koje se provode u laboratoriju kao što su ionska izmjena, kemijsko taloženje, koagulacija i flotacija. Abstract (english)
Many heavy metals are found naturally in the Earth's crust and are needed in small quantities by all organisms for normal biological processes. All of them in excessive concentrations have a negative impact on human health. Heavy metals such as copper, zinc, nickel and mercury most commonly occur in excessive concentrations and come from an anthropogenic source. More civilization is facing serious problems of contamination of drinking water with heavy metals. Heavy metals enter the environment and accumulate in it. They are not easily degradable in nature, but are transmitted through food chains. Intake of food contaminated with heavy metals leads to kidney damage, allergic reactions, problems with the respiratory and gastrointestinal system. A lot of methods have been developed to reduce the concentration of heavy metals. They can be natural such as phytoremediation, phytoextraction, phytostabilization and phytofiltration, but also those carried out in the laboratory such as ion exchange, chemical precipitation, coagulation and flotation.
