This is a project of an automated warehouse for food storage. The introduction defines the meaning of the warehouse and what is its purpose and role. The types of warehouses are described in the way of management, distribution of products inside and outside the warehouse. In the practical part of the work an automated warehouse had to be designed. The automation of the warehouse is achieved by choosing an automatic storage system so-called AS / RS. Nowadays, online purchase and the need for automated storage has increased. The principle of operation of AS / RS is very simple. After buying goods on the Internet from your home, the order is accepted and then a purchase order is created and sent to the office in the warehouse with a barcode. After the worker scans the barcode on the AS / RS control unit, AS / RS starts collecting the products and puts them on the conveyors. The products travel by conveyor to the packing station, after packing the packages, they are ready for delivery. It is not possible to fully automate the warehouse because when loading and unloading the goods we use standard electric and manual forklifts which transport the goods within the warehouse to their predetermined positions and wait for delivery to the next customer.
