The structure of this thesis is divided into two parts, the first part of wich includes the theoretical part and the second part that describes the experimental part of paper. The theoretical part describes the application of composite materials used in shipbuilding, their advantages and disadvantages and their overall applicability in modern shipbuilding. Also as an important part of composite materials, matrices and their role in the application of composites are explained separately. The experimental part of paper described the construction of a ship from composite material, as well as the procedures used in the manufacturing process, namely manual lamination and vacum infusion. Also in this part of the paper, the stages of making molds, formwork and load-bearing elements are described, with an emphasis on the materials used. In conclusion, it can be said that composite materials have greatly contributed to the development of modern shipbuilding, the application of which achives exceptional ship performance, and given the unlimited combination of composite materials leavs much room for further progress and their usability in shipbuilding.
