In this thesis, an analysis of the longitudinal limit strength of the ship's hull at the level of the main rib was carried out according to the incremental-iterative method in accordance with the IACS H-CSR rules (rules at the level of the main rib of the ship for the transport of chemicals and petroleum products). The work also includes familiarization with the requirements for calculating the ultimate strength of the ship's hull in undamaged and damaged condition within the framework of IACS H-CSR rules and regulations, and familiarization with the MARS 2000 software package created by the Bureau Veritas (BV) classification society. The aim of the prescribed methods is to determine the amount of the limiting bending moment of the hull for the proposed chemical and oil tanker. In addition to the calculation of the ultimate strength for a given tanker, this paper presents the curves of the relationship between the vertical bending moment and the curvature for the case of buckling and buckling. The results obtained with the MARS 2000 software are presented. In addition to determining the limit longitudinal strength of the ship, the initial values for the case of grounding and collision were calculated in accordance with the recommendations of the IACS H-CSR rules and regulations.
