Abstract
U ovom radu su teorijski opisana svojstva osnovnih skupina tehničkih materijala. Objašnjeni su kriteriji odabira materijala za proizvodnju klipova automobilskih motora te su navedena tražena svojstva. Također, analizirana je primjenjivost pojedinog materijala ovisno o uvjetima i tipu motora s unutarnjim sagorijevanjem. Navedene su prednosti i nedostatci aluminija, čelika i ugljičnih kompozita te njihovih podvrsta za primjenu u izradi klipova te su navedeni postojeći trendovi u automobilskoj industriji kao i predviđanja razvoja istih u primjeni materijala za izradu klipova automobilskih motora.
Abstract (english)
This paper contains the description of the properties of basic groups of technical materials. The criteria for the selection of materials for manufacturing pistons are explained and the required properties are listed. Also, the applicability of a particular material is analyzed, depending on the conditions and type of the internal combustion engine. The advantages and disadvantages for piston manufacturing of aluminum, steel, carbon composites and their subtypes are mentioned. Existing trends in the automotive industry and the predictions for their development in the application of piston manufacturing and construction are also mentioned.
