Abstract
Varijabilna dužina usisnih cijevi jedna je od metoda koje se koriste za poboljšanje karakteristika motora, a ujedno je i glavna tema ovoga rada. Za četverotaktni Ottov motor sa slobodnim usisom, izvršeni su proračuni za određivanje promjene dužine usisnih cijevi za postizanje optimalnog momenta u cijelom području brzina vrtnje. Izvedba motora slična je motoru vozila Seat Ibiza 1.4i. Proračuni su izvršeni u jednom od komercijalnih programa čiji se rad zasniva na metodi konačnih volumena. Iz... More dobivenih rezultata može se zaključiti da kod malih brzina vrtnje, najveći zakretni moment daju duge cijevi, a kod velikih brzina vrtnje, najveći zakretni moment daju kratke cijevi. Na osnovu dobivenih rezultata izrađen je algoritam za optimalno upravljanje dužinama usisnih cijevi. Na kraju je izrađen sklopni nacrt, odnosno model sustava usisa. Može se zaključiti kako je primjena ovog sustava efektivan način poboljšanja karakteristika motora, međutim, veliki nedostatak je njegova veličina te nemogućnost smještaja. Less
Abstract (english)
One of the methods used to increase engine characteristics, and also the focus of this paper, is variable intake pipe length. For a four-stroke naturally aspirated Otto engine, calculations were made to determine the modification in intake pipe length in order to achieve the optimal moment in the full range of engine operation speeds. The engine performance is similar to the one of Seat Ibiza 1.4i. Calculations were made using one of the commercial programs based on the finite volume... More method. Based on the calculated results, it may be concluded that at low engine speed, long pipes were the ones responsible for the peak torque speed, and vice versa; short pipes at high engine speed. These findings served as a base for the creation of the algorithm for the optimized intake pipe length. Ultimately, a drawing, i.e. a model of intake system was created. It can be concluded that the use of this intake system is an effective way of increasing engine performance, however, a major disadvantage is its size and the inability to accommodate it easily. Less
