Abstract
U ovom radu objašnjena su svojstva i primjena kompozitnih materijala u strojarstvu. Opisane su komponente kompozita, tehnike spajanja komponenti kompozita te njihova podjela prema vrsti materijala matrice kao i vrsti ojačala. Objašnjeni su i različiti postupci proizvodnje kompozita s obzirom na vrstu materijala matrice. Napravljena je usporedba svojstava, naročito mehaničkih, između kompozita i metala te su definirane prednosti i nedostatci kompozita pri konstruiranju ili dizajniranju proizvoda. Na kraju rada izveden je pregled primjene kompozita u većim industrijskim granama poput zrakoplovne, automobilske ili brodograđevne.
Abstract (english)
This thesis explains the properties and application of composite materials in mechanical engineering and describes composite components, composite component bonding techniques and their distribution according to the matrix type as well as the type of reinforcement. Different processes of composite production according to the type of matrix material are presented. This thesis contains a comparison of properties, especially mechanical, between composites and metals, and a clear distinction of the advantages and disadvantages of composite in the design of the product. At the end of the thesis a research was made to reveal the possibilities of the application of composites in major industrial branches such as aviation, automobile or shipbuilding.
