Abstract
Azipod sustav poriva brodova je sustav koji zahvaljujući svojim kvalitetama ima potencijal za preuzimanje cijelog tržišta pogonskih brodskih sustava. U ovom radu opisana je njegova arhitektura uz cjelokupnu strukturu sustava. Izdvojeni su pojedini ključni elementi te su analizirane njihove dobre strane, ograničenja i nedostaci. Od pretvarača frekvencije obrađeni su statički izravni i neizravni, koji se još detaljnije dijele na sinkropretvarače, ciklopretvarače te pretvarače s utisnutom strujom i pretvarače s utisnutim naponom. U PLECS simulacijskom okruženju su simulirani strujni i naponski valni oblici s naglaskom na ciklopretvarače koji su zahvaljujući svojim karakteristikama bili među najzastupljenijima na brodovima. Uz simuliranje ulaznih i izlaznih signala, objašnjena je i važnost modulacije širine impulsa sa kojom se regulira prosječna snaga koju daje električni signal.
Abstract (english)
Azipod ship propulsion system has a potential to take over the entire market of ship propulsion system thanks to its' qualities. In this paper the propulsion systems' architecture is described, along with the entire system structure. Several key elements are outlined and their benefits, limitations and disadvantages are analysed. Static direct and indirect frequency converters, which are further divided into synchro converters, cycloconverters, voltage source inverters and current source inverters are analyzed. The current and voltage waveforms are simulated in PLECS simulation environment, with emphasis on cycloconverters which were most commonly found on ship systems thanks to their characteristics. Along with inputs and outputs simulation, the importance of pulse width modulation, which is used to regulate the average output signal power.
