Abstract
U ovome je radu analizirana najpoznatija hibridna shema enkripcije koja se temelji na kriptografiji eliptične krivulje. Nabrojane su funkcije potrebne za funkcioniranje ECIES-a te je za svaku opisana njena zadaća. Napravljena je usporedba s drugim tipom algoritma za enkripciju/dekripciju. Usporedbom se došlo do zaključka da ECIES ima glavne prednosti što se tiče vremena izvršavanja i dužine ključeva. To je vidljivo prilikom izvođenja enkripcije/dekripcije kada je riječ o većoj sigurnosnoj razini gdje se vidi da ECIES zahtjeva 22 puta manje vrijeme izvođenja procesa enkripcije/dekripcije i posjeduje 30 puta manji ključ na odnosu na RSA algoritam.
Abstract (english)
In this paper is analyzed the best known hybrid encryption scheme based on elliptic curve cryptography. The functions required for the functioning of ECIES are listed and its task is described for each. A comparison is made with another type of encryption/decryption algorithm. The comparison concluded that ECIES has the main advantages in terms of performance time and key length. This is evident when performing encryption/decryption when it comes to a higher security level where it is seen that ECIES requires 22 times less performance time of the encryption/decryption process and has 30 times less key compared to the RSA algorithm.
