Abstract
Sinkroni generatori uvedeni su kao vrsta izmjeničnih električnih strojeva, zajedno sa njihovom važnosti u svakodnevnom životu (iako ne mislimo na njih svakodnevno). Uzbudni sustavi objašnjeni su kao ključna komponenta zbog svoje uloge u stvaranju magnetskog polja, koji su nužni za induciranje izmjeničnog napona u statorskom namotu uslijed rotacije istog magnetskog polja. Nakon što je rotor uzbuđen, različita karakteristična stanja pokrivena su pri konstantnoj brzini vrtnje poput praznog hoda i kratkog spoja. Nakon toga pokriven je samostalan način rada generatora na različitim tipovima opterećenja. Naglašena je potreba za regulacijom uzbudne struje i brzine prilikom rada sa vlastitim teretom. Rad na krutoj mreži uveden je kao najraširenija primjena ove vrste stroja. Sinkronizacija s mrežom je objašnjena, završavajući s opisom karakteristika u radu i područja stabilnosti kada jednom radi na mreži.
Abstract (english)
Synchronous generators are introduced as a type of alternating machine, along with their importance in daily life (even though we don't think about them daily). Excitation systems are explained as a key component beacuse of their role in creating magnetic fields, which are neccessery to induce alternating voltage in stator windings due the the rotation of the same magnetic field. After the rotor is excited, charachteristic states are covered at constant rotor speed, such as no-load and short ciruit state. Stand-alone operation mode is then covered with various types of loads. Need for excitation current and speed control is emphasised when working on it's own load. Grid-connected operation mode is introduced as the most widespread application of this type of machine. Synchronisation with the power grid is explained, ending with description of it's operating characteristics and stability range while working on the grid.
