The aim of this work was to design a technological process for the production of the governor casing. The first step was to conduct a technological analysis of the piece, after which the shape of the semi-finished product was defined. Since the semi-finished product was produced by casting, a few words were told about casting procedures. Next step included creating the structure of the technological process in which the manufacturing equipment was chosen along with the tools neccessary for the making of the desired product. After creating the structure of the technological process, a more detailed elaboration of the technological process was done. That way, all the required tools and processing parameters that would be applied during the production of the desired piece. Along with that, durations of all individual procedures and operations were calculated and defined. Continuing on that, the complete technological documentation consisting of list of operations, list of tools, operational lists and list of machines was created. At the end of this work, a processing simulation was conducted in the Mastercam software which gave an insight to the complete process in a very visual and presentable way. To conlude the work, the durations of processing times calculated analiticaly and those gotten in the Mastercam program were compared and the results were discussed.
