Strength is defined as the mechanical property of material that provides resistance to the action of force. There are two methods of load balancing, static and dynamic. Hardness is material resistance to the penetration of some other material. The first methods of examination occur in the early 20th century and were developed by Mohs. Hardness testing is closely related to other mechanical properties, and the tests are simple and fast compared to other mechanical properties. Toughness is the ability of materials to withstand a strain by plastic deformation. Depending on its presence or absence, plastic deformations can be brittle and tough fractures. Material toughness is affected by temperature, microstructure, chemical composition, material contamination, etc. There are test patterns with two types of notch, U and V notch.
