Abstract
U ovome radu bavio sam se aluminijem i njegovim legurama s fokusom na toplinsku obradu. Kroz rad smo se upoznali savrijednostima aluminija, mogućnostima legiranja i razlici između legura prije i nakon toplinske obrade precipitacijskim očvršćivanjem i ţarenjem. Leguru AlSi8Cu3, kojom u Ljevaonici Roč izrađuju kučišta turbokompresora, smo popratili od taljenja do same toplinske obrade na kraju procesa kako bi se upoznali sa svakodnevnim postupkom od velikog značaja. Nakon toplinske obrade precipitacijskim očvršćivanjem vidljivo je bilo povećanje čvrstoće i tvrdoće odljevka dok smo ţarenjem regulirali krhkost kako ne bi došlo do pukotina pri većim dinamičkim naprezanjima tokom rada motora. Definitivno smo vidjeli kako korištenje aluminijevih legura ne bi bilo moguće bez precipitacijskog očvršćenja, ţarenja i gašenja, barem ne u svijetu automobila i strojeva gdje se cijeni čvrstoća i tvrdoća u kombinaciji s malom težinom proizvoda.
Abstract (english)
This thesis is about aluminium and it`s alloys with focus on heat treating. Throughout the thesis we become acquainted with aluminium mechanical properties, possibility of making all sorts of alloys and the difference between alloys before and after precipitation hardening and annealing. We followed aluminium alloy AlSi8Cu3, which is the material of the turbine casing, from it`s melting phase to the heat treating at the end of the process so we can see the whole everyday process. After heat treating by precipitation hardening there was a noticable increase in strenght and hardness of the machine part. Annealing, on the other hand, regulated toughness so there would be no problem with dynamic stress during the motor working hours. We can definitely state that aluminium alloys need precipitation hardening, annealing and quenching to reach its potential and be all they can be. In the todays automotive world there is definitely room for aluminium alloys because this kind of strenght and hardness combined with small density and weight are always desirable.
