Abstract
Ovaj rad obraduje klasičnu definiciju vjerojatnosti i njezinu primjenu u inženjerstvu. Objaš- njeni su osnovni pojmovi ishoda i dogadaja te je definirana klasična vjerojatnost, naglašavajući njezinu primjenu u situacijama gdje su svi ishodi jednako vjerojatni. Također je detaljno prika- ¯ zana važnost i upotreba metoda prebrojavanja, poput permutacija i kombinacija, u izracunu vje- rojatnosti. U radu je analizirana primjena ovih metoda u inženjerskim problemima, posebno pri pouzdanosti sustava. Na kraju, obrađene su alternativne definicije vjerojatnosti, poput frekven- cijskog i subjektivnog pristupa, te je objašnjena njihova uloga u proširenju klasičnog koncepta vjerojatnosti.
Abstract (english)
This paper addresses the classical definition of probability and its application in engineering. The basic concepts of outcomes and events are explained, and classical probability is defined, emphasizing its use in situations where all outcomes are equally likely. The importance and application of counting methods, such as permutations and combinations, are also presented in detail for calculating probability. The paper analyzes the application of these methods in engineering problems, particularly in system reliability. Finally, alternative definitions of probability, such as the frequentist and subjective approaches, are discussed, highlighting their role in expanding the classical concept of probability.
