Abstract
U ovom radu prikazan je razvoj motora Formule 1 kroz povijest. Objašnjeno je kako motori, odnosno pogonske jedinice, funkcioniraju u današnje vrijeme. Detaljno je opisan način rada pogonske jedinice i svih njenih dijelova. Nakon toga, opisan je i ostatak pogonskog sustava, sustav hlađenja i prijenos. U radu je također opisan i detaljno objašnjen tijek energije između električnih dijelova pogonske jedinice te FIA-inim pravilnikom definirana ograničenja upotrebe energije tijekom jednog kruga. Na kraju rada izrađena je simulacija tijeka energije tijekom jednog kruga na trkaćoj stazi u Monzi, koja ima najveću prosječnu brzinu po krugu u cijelom kalendaru Formule 1.
Abstract (english)
This paper presents the development of Formula 1 engine through history. It is explained how engines, or power units, are operating today. The mode of operation of the drive unit and all its parts is described in detail. After that, the rest of the operating system, cooling system and transmission is described. The paper also describes and explains the energy flow between the electrical parts of the power unit and the FIA's rulebook, which limits the use of energy over a single lap. At the end of the work, the energy flow simulation was made during one round at the Monza racing track, which has the highest average speed per round throughout the Formula 1 calendar.
