In this diploma thesis is elaborated a design of a high pressure steam turbine which is located in separate turbine housing. It is back pressure turbine which find purpose as part of ship's propulsion propeller drive. Based on the input data, like the turbine power of 12 MW, the speed of rotation 5400 min-1, the inlet steam pressure 58,8 bar, the inlet steam temperature 500 ℃ and outlet steam pressure 6 bar, a calculation of turbine is done. There is also completed the calculation of turbine with a reduced load of 4,4 MW and 3300 min-1. Thermodynamic state parameters, profiles of turbine blades, stages of turbine, mass flow rate of steam are defined in the first part of this calculation. Velocity triangles are drawn for each stage of turbine with a full and reduced load. The second part of this calculation is based on values, which are a result of the full load of turbine. It includes: the strength analysis of turbine blade and turbine housing, the analysis of steam losses in labyrinth seals, dilatation of turbine wheel and turbine housing and design of bearings. In the attachment of this thesis is given a technical drawing of cross section of the high pressure steam turbine.
