The task of this diploma thesis was the construction of an anchor windlass on electric drive. The construction is performed as a horizontal design that will be mounted on the deck of the ship. The winch is equipped with a drum for winding steel rope, a tension bell as well as a sprocket for raising and lowering the anchor. For the given tightening forces, a steel rope with a diameter of 120 millimeters was selected, which is wound on a drum made as a welded design. Also next to the drum is a clamping bell that can help tighten the boat. It is derived from a single part that is firmly connected to the drive shaft. Since the winch must be able to raise and lower the anchor, it is equipped with a sprocket that is also welded design. The drum and sprocket can be switched on or off by means of detachable couplings that are activated by manually moving the lever. Drum and sprocket brakes are also designed, brakes are fabricated as belt type and are activated by manually turning the lever. In order to make the construction possible to install on the deck of the ship, supports for the shaft of the drum and sprocket were designed. The reducer and electric motor on the deck is supported by using standard profiles.
