A fuel system of Rijeka Power Plant is described in the paper titled Power Plant Fuel Preparation System. The paper is divided into twelve chapters. At the beginning of the paper a steam process facilities and a display of electric energy consumption are described. General data on Rijeka Power Plant are cited, i.e. history of its construction, definition of power plant location and fuel, followed with power plant scheme. In the mid part of the paper Rijeka Power Plant fuel system is described in details. The transport of oil through power plant is described from the receipt of fuel to its burning in the mail boiler. A system of storage and heating of the fuel is presented. Pumps like centrifugal and screw pump used in this process are also described. A consumption of fuel is calculated through fuel system and technical data for the main boiler. In the final part of the paper based on the scheme attached to the paper, a required power of the pumps is calculated, and from the manufacturers’ catalogue a pump was chosen based on the fluid column height and on the flow. Laboratory reports on the quality of fuel, a scheme of fuel receipt and a scheme of fuel preparation are attached at the end of the paper.
