This thesis consists of a total of seven chapters. The first chapter provides an introduction. The second chapter explains the construction of high-voltage cables, with the aim of better understanding the cable construction itself, the first sub-chapter explains the development of the design of the high-voltage cable, followed by the second sub-chapter which shows the structural elements of the cable, the third sub-chapter shows the basic division or cable types 2XS(F)2Y/A2XS( F)2Y and 2XS(FL)2Y/A2XS(FL)2Y, the last subsection shows the current load of high voltage cables. The third chapter presents the operation of high-voltage cables. The fourth chapter shows the standards, test equipment and technical requirements for carrying out the testing of high-voltage cables, which is divided into three sub-chapters, the first sub-chapter shows which shows the standards that are important for testing such as IEC 60840 and HRN HD 632, the second sub-chapter shows the test equipment and the last sub-chapter shows the methods and types of tests such as direct voltage, very low frequency voltage, alternating voltage and partial burst tests. The fifth chapter presents HV cable testing which explains HV cable testing by type of test system. The sixth chapter explains the testing of high-voltage cables before commissioning, which is divided into nine sub-chapters that individually show procedures such as the phase identification test procedure, conductor resistance test, capacity test, outer sheath test, insulation resistance test, high-voltage cable cross-connection test, neutral impedance test sequence and impedance of positive and negative sequence. The last chapter is the concluding chapter, followed by a list of references.
