This master’s thesis is based on the application of a modular approach to equipping a ship, which is carried out in the workshops of the shipyard »3. maj«. The selected pipe module for fire and deck washing is placed on the roof of the double-bottom engine room of a chemical transportation ship, and the process of its production is described in detail in the text of the paper. Furthermore, a plan for the execution of this project has been created in MS Project software, which enables a graphical representation of the entire implementation process in the form of a Gantt chart and network diagram with the indicated critical path. The project consists of three main groups of works: the production of equipment elements, their assembly into module, and the final installation of module on the ship. As an additional visual representation, a 3D model of the ship's pipe module has been created, showing the sequence of equipment assembly in the form of an animation. Since the aim is to achieve faster module production, possible improvements to the basic process have been proposed, and an analysis of them has been conducted to choose the optimal solution. This approach provides insight into the costs and time required for the implementation of this project.
